Wild mullet roe varies in size, traditionally handmade, naturally sun-dried by the Northeast Monsoon, odorless, large, egg-shaped, bursting with seafood flavor, smooth texture, rich aroma, and lingering fragrance.
👉The membrane on the outside of wild mullet roe is the egg sac membrane—it's naturally edible, so removing it is fine.🙌
👉Removing the membrane: You can use sorghum wine or rice wine. Soak for about 1 minute until the outer membrane turns milky white. Then remove the membrane after about 1 minute.
Next, you can directly use a fire to roast it until it slightly bubbles and is slightly charred. ⚠️ Do not roast it until it turns black. About two or three minutes is enough.
The frying method is also very simple: heat the oil over high heat, and fry the mullet roe for about 10 seconds on each side. Do not fry it for too long!
A little reminder: Don't overcook it; it will taste better that way. Overcooked, it will become hard and not taste good. 👌
